We hold fast to the spirit of collaboration and climate change adaptation as we confront an existential threat bigger than Covid. In 2020 climate impacts continued with extreme weather events, floods and hurricanes. They affected the efficacy of responding to the COVID pandemic; which proves that health, economics and climate emergencies are inextricably linked.
As our planet is warming and some areas are becoming uninhabitable, CPRSX plans to increase its efforts to sequester carbon emissions, mitigate food and water insecurity, regenerate degrading soils and transform redundant and unproductive farmlands into forests; as we guide our Indigenous partners on their journey to adapt to climate change and discover new ways to enhance livelihood opportunities and well being.
