As our world is changing and population growth continues unabated; land use for food production is approaching its limits. There is growing concern about growing healthy, safe and sufficient food. These concerns are the specialisation of Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. Their area of expertise revolves around food security and production.They develop and deliver knowledge. They are CPRSX’s educational collaborators and partners in delivering our Protected Food Production projects. They will deliver the requisite training for our Filipino JV Partners and provincial communities.
Wageningen UR is active in many overseas regions where their objectives are to improve food safety and food security, develop bio based products, materials and logistics chains and determine the impact of economic activity on the environment and people. The University offers 19 bachelor programmes, 30 master’s programmes and six graduate schools as a leader in scientific education in the healthy food and living environment domain.
They are located next door to the BOM Group in the Netherlands who build our Greenhouses and next door to Delphy, who will deliver the skills and training for workers in the greenhouses and the forests. The three entities work together on the CPRSX Greenhouses designs, operations and installations in the Philippines. Wageningen will coordinate with the Quirino and Tarlac State Universities in the Philippines to facilitate local education and skills development course delivery. Together with online tuition our Filipino staff and students will have access to the best possible resources.
Quirino and Tarlac State Universities are collaborators with CPRSX to deliver Greenhouse Operations Skills Development training and education, to be developed in cooperation with Wageningen UR, Delphy, BOM Group. The training includes courses on Climate Change and Global Warming, Carbon Sequestration, Forestry Management, REDD+ reporting and verification. They will be delivered in the first 5 ha Educational Greenhouse with trained teachers from Quirino and Tarlac State Universities.
Education is also a CPRSX commercial enterprise targeting student internships from Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Indonesia and PNG.
